Independently Contracted Therapists and Counselors
Louisville Health & Healing is seeking compassionate, dedicated mental health professionals with experience working with children, teens, and their families. We are looking to add both Full-Time and Part-Time self-employed clinicians to our supportive, nurturing, and dynamic team at our Louisville offices. As a small group practice, we focus on creating a culture of autonomy, professionalism, and a commitment to self-care and ongoing professional development for our staff. Ideal candidates will have a passion for working with younger populations and be committed to providing compassionate, effective care while balancing work with their own well-being. We value self-management, personal initiative, and a collaborative approach to therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting initial consultations with children, teens, and families to gather relevant information
- Assessing, diagnosing, and creating tailored treatment plans to support the emotional and mental health of younger clients
- Engaging with children and teens through age-appropriate therapy techniques, including mental exercises, role-playing, and play therapy
- Providing counseling and support for developmental challenges, emotional regulation, behavioral issues, and family dynamics
- Utilizing effective crisis intervention strategies when working with at-risk children or adolescents in crisis
- Offering referrals for additional services or specialized care when necessary
- Maintaining thorough and confidential clinical records
- Keeping up-to-date with continuing education units (CEUs) and professional licensure
- Collaborating with families and other professionals to provide holistic, effective care
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a clinical field (e.g., Social Work, Counseling, Psychology)
- Independently licensed to provide mental health services in the state
- Experience and/or a strong interest in working with children, teens, and families
- Ability to work autonomously while also collaborating within a supportive team environment
- Strong communication, listening, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and self-care
